RANGERS midfielder Steve Davis believes the club's amazing European adventure will have been for nothing if they fail to lift the Uefa Cup tonight.
Fulham loan star Davis has been an integral part of the Ibrox club's surprise success in the competition since arriving at Ibrox in January.
Though the Northern Ireland captain is a certain starter, the lifelong Gers supporter has revealed he won't be able to enjoy the occasion unless he wins.
He said: "I never thought we'd go as far in the competition as we have done and it has been great to do so.
"I had never even played European football before this season so just getting some experience of it here was one of the things which made me want to come to the club.
"To go all the way to the final as well has been fantastic, but hopefully we can see the job through. When you reflect on what we have done, getting to Manchester is a massive achievement.
"But there in no point in just getting this far and saying we've done well. We want to go on and win the competition now."
Meanwhile, Davis has refused to say whether he will commit his long-term future to Rangers if they land the Uefa Cup this evening.
He added: "Whatever we do in Manchester won't affect whether I decide to stay with Rangers.
"We've got to the stage now where I've enjoyed my time here and I obviously know the club is on the up.
"Getting to a European final shows the stature of the club and everyone is desperate to win the cup."
