RYAN GRANT believes Leinster's success against Ulster in the Heineken Cup final at the weekend is proof that Glasgow can go all the way in the RaboDirect PRO12 next season.
Joe Schmidt's side thrashed the Ulstermen 42-14 to successfully defend the Heineken Cup, and they will face the Ospreys in the PRO12 final this weekend.
Seven days prior to their destruction of Ulster, the clock saved Leinster as Warriors staged a great fight back at the Royal Dublin Showgrounds, where two late tries left Glasgow 19-15 losers in the PRO12 play-off semi.
Grant said: "Look at what Leinster did to Ulster and how close we pushed them on their own patch seven days earlier.
"It has left us with a sense of what might have been.
"However, if anything it has also fired up our self-belief for next season.
"With the new guys we have coming in over the summer, like Sean Lamont and Angus MacDonald plus the experience that young guys like Stuart Hogg and Duncan Weir have picked up from games like Leinster, I don't see why we can't win something next season."
Grant has enjoyed a fine end to a memorable campaign that came up just short.
The loosehead scooped the McCrea Financial Services/Hotel Du Vin Player of the Month award for April and was announced in the Scotland squad for the three-game tour of Australasia.
He said: "I was delighted to claim the player-of-the-month award for April as these awards mean a lot to the boys.
"However, to go to Australia with Scotland is a career high for me. I can't wait to get on the plane."
