That was the emphatic news today from the striker’s agent as speculation grows that the club’s top scorer is on his way to Wigan or Middlesbrough.

Lou Sticca insisted he speaks on a daily basis with McDonald, and denies any knowledge of an alleged bust-up between the player and manager Tony Mowbray.

The Aussie-based agent denied anyone had been in contact with him about trying to lure his client away from Parkhead. And Sticca also shot down reports that McDonald does not fit into the plans Mowbray has for

the side. Sticca claimed he was not aware of McDonald requiring a hernia operation, as has been reported in some quarters.

The agent said: “I speak to Scott every day, and, as far as I am concerned, he wants to be at Celtic.

“I have also spoken regularly to Peter Lawwell, and he has told me that Celtic are happy with Scott.

“If anything does happen, it will be Celtic telling Scott to leave, not Scott asking to go.”

Sticca is convinced that the flurry of speculation has been sparked by Mowbray’s decision to omit McDonald from his starting line-up against Rangers at the weekend.

“What we are seeing here is the usual reaction in the media if a club’s top scorer is not playing,” said Sticca.

“Scott is doing the business for Celtic, as his goals show.

“I honestly do not think there has been any fall-out at all. Players and coaches talk every day. And from what I understand, that is what we are talking about here.

“There is nothing to be concerned about regarding any falling out.”

However, the result of all this speculation has been an increase in interest in McDonald from managers down south, including Wigan boss Roberto Martinez and Middlesbrough’s Gordon Strachan.

Celtic are expected to recieve an enquiry soon from Hertha Berlin, who had Andreas watched in Sunday’s Old Firm game and are considering tabling a £2.5m bid, while Middlesbrough are also trying to broker a deal to buy Gary Caldwell and Barry Robson and take Willo Flood on loan.
