The away day specialist – who has scored in Helsinki and Helsingborgs to help the Hoops reach the group stage of Europe's elite competition this season – has been out of action since damaging an elbow playing for Greece on September 7.
The forward was not expected to return to training until after this weekend. However, he could now be in contention for Saturday's vital SPL game against table-toppers Motherwell at Fir Park, setting him up perfectly for the Euro clash at Spartak Moscow on Tuesday.
"We hope Sami will join the rest of the players in training today, and he may be in the squad for Saturday," said Lennon.
"We are almost at full quota again going into a big stretch of games for us."
