SHETTLESTON JUNIORS have succeeded in an appeal against goalkeeper Gary Whyte being shown a red card for urinating behind his goal during a league game.
The incident went viral after Shettleston's opponents Shotts Bon Accord tweeted that Whyte was sent off for relieving himself while fetching the ball during the match on January 28.

Shettleston appealed referee Tony Fullerton's decision to show red and announced on Wednesday that the Scotttish Junior Football Association have reduced the punishment to a yellow card.
Despite Whyte's unusual dismissal, Shettleston went on to win the game 1-0 and currently top the McBookie.com Super First Division table.
