BELLSHILL and St Roch's meet at Fullarton Park tonight aiming to continue their winning starts to the season.

Both beat higher-league opponents as they began their Euroscot Eng League Cup Section Three campaigns last weekend.

Candy Rock gaffer Andy Cameron said: "Our win against Shettleston was all the more pleasing because we fielded nine players who were making their competitive debuts in the Juniors.

"The guys played exceptionally well and it was great to see so many local people invest their time and money to come along and support the team.

"The players responded with 100% effort and commitment which seemed to go down well and hopefully we can serve up more of the same against Bellshill."

Six clubs - Shotts, Thorniewood, Cambuslang, St Anthony's, Ashfield and Vale of Leven enter the fray for the first time and all will be hoping home advantage tips the scales in their favour.

The Ardagh Glass Cup clash between Kilbirnie and Largs promises to be a cracker, but the tie of the night is between Auchinleck and holders Cumnock at Beechwood Park.

This being the first of at least four meetings between the bitter rivals this season has both sides determined to lay down a marker and Talbot's loan signing from Ayr United - Craig McCracken - can expect a more testing time of it than he experienced on his debut against Lugar last weekend.
