Auchinleck boss Tommy Sloan reckons Talbot are guaranteed fireworks in the Dyslexia Scotland Junior Cup quarter-finals.

The Ayrshire giants were handed an away tie when the draw for the last eight was made at Hampden Park.

Tucker's men face the winners of this afternoon's fifth-round showdown between Shettleston and Newtongrange Star.

He said: "Regardless of who we face in the quarters, it will be a really tough tie. Both sides are more than capable. We lost to Shettleston in a pre-season match, while Newtongrange are 10 points ahead of the side we beat in the last round."

Most managers would lop off your arm for a home tie, but Sloan admitted he was happy enough with the outcome.

He said: "Our form away from home recently has been very good, so you won't hear me grumbling about not getting a home tie.

"That said, we played at Shettleston in a cup-tie around five years ago and I remember the game being stopped for around 20 minutes because someone had let off fireworks ON the pitch!

"But I suppose whoever you get at this stage of the competition is going to be tough, so we will look forward to the tie. It would be nice to watch today's match between Shettleston and Newtongrange, but I don't think I'll get the chance!"

Surprise packets Yoker Athletic were drawn at home to either Camelon or Linlithgow Rose, and might just fancy their chances of springing a major surprise at Holm Park.

So far, John McAulay's men have KO'd Longside, Dundonald Bluebell, Glenrothes - all away from home - and Lesmahagow.

Hurlford United host Pollok, and the sides will get a good look at one another when they square up this afternoon in the second round of the West of Scotland Cup.

Full draw: Newtongrange Star or Shettleston v Auchinleck Talbot, Hurlford United v Pollok, Yoker Athletic v Camelon or Linlithgow Rose, Musselburgh United v Penicuik or ArthurIie or Rob Roy. Ties to be played on Saturday, March 14.
