Mark Crilly tonight resigned as co-manager at Kilbirnie Ladeside.

Crilly cited work commitments as his reason to walk away from the job he shared with Stephen Swift, who will now become manager with Mark Cameron as his assistant.

Cameron will step up from the coaching role he took up last November.

A club statement read: "We would like to thank Mark for his efforts over the last three years and wish him all the very best for the future.

"Stephen will now be sole manager, with Mark as his No.2. The club has brought in a number of new players in recent weeks. In the normal course of events, we would have asked the management to move some players on as a consequence.

"In view of the critical stage of the season, we have taken the decision to allow them to run with the full squad of current players.

"In backing the management and players in this way, we hope to be able to ensure a successful end to the season."

The Blasties crashed out of the Scottish Junior Cup last weekend when they were beaten 2-0 at home by holders Hurlford United.
