Robbie Winters will wait until the end of the season before revealing if he will play on in Rossvale colours.

The 40-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Bishopbriggs-based club at the start of the season, and has been pivotal in taking the club to the top of the Central Second Division, however he is continuing to keep gaffer Martin Lauchlan in the dark about his future plans.

Lauchlan fears his strike ace will be lured away by a higher-league side, but Winters, whose double helped Rossvale to another three precious points in a 2-0 win over East Kilbride, said: "I want to see how the team does and how my body is feeling physically before making any decision, and nothing has changed in that respect.

"I was out of the game for two years with a debilitating back problem before a chance meeting with Martin back in August led to him asking me along to play a Sectional League Cup game against Rob Roy.

"We won 3-2 and I managed to score a couple of goals, so Locky more or less super-glued himself to me to ensure I stuck around."

The one-time Scotland international added: "I have thoroughly enjoyed waking up on a Saturday and having a game to play in, and I have been pleasantly surprised at the lack of flying tackles that was for so long associated with the Junior game.

"A large chunk of opposing teams play good football, with EK running us close on Saturday, but there's a lot of good players here at Rossvale and up to now we are proving to be that little bit stronger than the rest.

"We've a tough contest away to Cambuslang Rangers this week, but if we create chances then the strikers are to hand to snap them up in Yami Misango and Fraser Team, whose goals returns are both in double figures.

"They are the future of this club, not me, so you'd be better asking them if they are signing on again next season"

Lauchlan admitted: "Robbie has fitted in brilliantly with his superb attitude in every game regardless of venue, opposition or refereeing decisions that go against him, making him a joy to manage.

"We have no shortage of quality players and the competition for places is about to become even more intense with Chris Gordon, Pedram Ardalanay, Craig McReadie and Reece Donaldson on the way back from injuries, however Robbie's is the first name on our teamsheet every week.

"His goals catch the eye, but it's his impact on the other players and the confidence he brings out in them which I believe is his most telling contribution, so I will keep fingers tightly crossed and hope to get a commitment for next season.

"He's the type who says exactly what he means, so there is no point asking him about his plans until the final whistle goes in our last game."

Pollok have made Marco Andreoni available for transfer, while goalkeeper Ross Harkness has moved to join East Region outfit Sauchie.

The former Wishaw No. , second fiddle to Jordan Longmuir for the most part this season, is the only other goalkeeper on the Newlandsfield books, so his unavoidable departure - work commitments led to him moving to Dunfermline - poses a problem for Lok gaffer Tony McInally in seeking to unearth a non-cup tied replacement.

Meanwhile, new Arthurlie boss Robert Downs has boosted his backroom team with the appointment of his former Barrhead striking partner Alan Sneddon as coach, while yet another ex-Lie frontman in the spotlight is Dennis McLaughlin, who made his first Glencairn starting appearance in almost two years in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Ardeer.

And as a result of famous old East Renfrewshire outfit Neilston Juniors celebrating their 70th anniversary this year, match secretary Kevin Robertson is asking former players and managers to contact the club if they'd like to be involved.
