JUNIOR football was rocked last night by the news Stevie Docherty has sensationally stepped down as Pollok boss - just two months into the job.
John Richardson's successor cited footballing reasons on and off the park as the result for his decision, and told pollokfc.com: "It was a difficult decision but one I had to make for myself."
A spokesman for the club, who take on Petershill at home this weekend, added: "We are sorry to see Stephen go, but we wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavours."
Meanwhile, the Scottish Junior Cup fourth round draw will take place in the Evening Times office on Thursday December 12 at 3pm.
