The Northern Ireland internationalist signed a two-year deal with the newco, with the option of a further year, after his contract came to an end in the summer.
And he believes he can fulfil his ambitions with the Ibrox side, despite their current problems.
"Up to now in my career, apart from the end of last season, I have never had regular playing time, but now I have the chance to impose myself as Rangers' No.1 striker and that is the aim for me," said the forward, who found the net after just four minutes against Brechin last Sunday.
"I want to get a run in the team and get among the goals."
Despite having to plough their way through the Third Division this season, Little expects Gers continue to hold a significant draw for many players given the stature of the club. The forward knocked back moves from other teams because he wanted to not only be part of the revival of the side, but also because he believes he can continue to flourish at Ibrox.
"I am very ambitious and I wouldn't be here if I didn't feel I could fulfil my ambitions at Rangers," he said.
"I don't see why I won't be at the club for a long, long time and I'm really looking forward to getting started and to getting back to playing football.
"I had offers from England and from the SPL and I was close to going to two other clubs but the size of Rangers was one of the major factors for me deciding to sign."
Little's fellow countrymen Kyle Lafferty and Steven Davis have moved on, as well as a clutch of others, but he still expects Rangers to be strong enough to progress through the leagues.
Ian Black and Dean Shiels have arrived as boss Ally McCoist seeks the experience he believes he'll need.
"It is not just a squad that has been thrown together," Little said. "You still have the likes of Kirk Broadfoot, Lee Wallace, Lee McCulloch and Neil Alexander who are experienced, quality players.
"For me, while the club may be starting out in the Third Division, the only way is up for Rangers now."
Meantime, free agent Greek midfielder Pantelis Kafes is training with Gers as he attempts to secure a contract. The 34-year old midfielder been capped 40 times and could be the next new signing.
