Ally McCoist is sweating over the fitness of Andrew Little ahead of his side's trip to Annan on Saturday.
Little returned to Glasgow nursing a foot injury after being on international duty with Northern Ireland, writes Matthew Lindsay.
The 23-year-old played in his country's 2-0 defeat by Russia last weekend, but was released before the World Cup qualifier with Luxembourg.
It will be a major blow for McCoist and his side if the versatile star is unavailable as he has netted eight goals in eight games.
The Ibrox boss told RangersTV: "It's always a concern when players go away on international duty and you hope they return fit. He has been on fire since the start of the season and he has scored some important goals."
McCoist may be without Greek right-back Anestis Argyriou, who has a hamstring strain, but he will welcome back striker Francisco Sandaza following the Spaniard's recovery from a calf strain.
The Rangers manager added: "Anestis has a bit of tightness in a hamstring. We don't think it is anything major. Fran has been working very hard for the past two weeks and he joined in with the rest of the boys and he looks fine."
