Ally McCoist is optimistic a team bonding session this week can reignite Rangers' title challenge.
The Ibrox side licked their wounds following last weekend's Scottish Cup defeat to Dundee United with a clear-the-air meeting and a day out tenpin bowling followed by a trip to TGI Friday's.
And McCoist – who believes the spirit within the Ibrox side can enable them to push Celtic all the way for the title – received a further boost when terms were agreed last night to bring striker Daniel Cousin to Ibrox for the rest of the season.
"We have had a couple of good meetings this week and the training has been really excellent," said McCoist. "There is always disappointment when you lose, especially a cup game because you don't get a chance to recover from it.
"But the boys know what is required and they know what they have to do for us to go on and retain our championship."
And the Rangers boss insisted he isn't looking across the city at what Celtic are doing. Hoops boss Neil Lennon believes his side are playing their best football of his tenure at the minute, but McCoist TURN TO PAGE 57
