SCOTT Brown today insisted Scotland can do the double over Poland despite their Euro 2016 Group D rivals claiming the weekend scalp of world champions Germany.

Brown and his team-mates jetted out of Glasgow Airport this morning ahead of their qualifier in Warsaw tomorrow night. And the captain was in a bullish mood after Saturday's 1-0 win over Georgia at Ibrox. Brown scored the only goal of a friendly against Poland in Warsaw back in March and he believes Scotland can take confidence from that result.

Brown said: "We can definitely feed off our win over Poland earlier this year going into tomorrow night.

The lads are all buzzing. We have great belief. There is more to come from this Scotland team. We obviously want to play really well for 90 minutes. We didn't do that on Saturday. We only played for 60 or 70 minutes. But at the end of the day, three points is three points.

"We have to take that away from the game on Saturday. We will go into the Poland game full of confidence."

Gordon Strachan's squad was in high spirits as they boarded the plane following their Georgia victory.

But the national team will meet opponents on a massive high after their historic 2-0 triumph over Germany.

It was the first time Poland had defeated their neighbours and put them on top of Group D on goal difference after two games.

However, Celtic midfielder Brown is confident Scotland can pick up three more points. He said: "Poland will definitely be difficult. Robert Lewandowski didn't play the last time we played Poland.

"They have some great players. But when you look around the Scotland dressing room, so do we."

Scotland dominated Georgia at Ibrox on Saturday, but failed to convert the chances they created and only netted through a first- half own goal by Akaki Khubutia.

However, Brown, who donned the skipper's armband as Darren Fletcher was left on the bench, prefers to look at the positives which arose from the outing.

He said: "The back four were brilliant. They defended really well. We defended really well from the front backwards.

"We can take plenty of encouragement from that going into the Poland game."
