DARREN YOUNG hopes Albion Rovers can turn a good season into a great one as they bid to retain top spot in the League Two standings.

The Coatbridge club head to Annan this weekend a point clear at the top of the table as they set their sights on the fourth tier crown.

With Queen's Park and Arbroath breathing down their necks, Albion can't afford to take anything for granted or take their foot off the gas this term.

And Cliftonhill boss Young is determined to keep his squad focused on the job in hand as they gear up for a tricky trip to Galabank.

He said: "We are just keeping things normal, like we did at the start of the season and when we were going through a blip.

"It is one game at a time and we are approaching each match the same as we have done since the start of the season.

"It has been a good season so far and it could be a great season for us.

"We had a good result last weekend and a good performance as well so hopefully we can take that into Saturday.

"Most of the boys are back now and everyone is fighting for a place so it is a good position to be in at this stage of the season.

"If you look at East Stirling, they are fighting for their lives and in the last few weeks they have beaten us, Arbroath and Queen's Park.

"Everyone can beat everyone in this league and every team has something to play for, whether you are going for the title, going for the play-offs or looking to stay in the division.

"There are no easy games and it will be a difficult one for us at Annan. They are doing well and going for the play-offs so we will need to be at our best."
