SCOTS whistler Willie Collum will be in charge of Barcelona's Champions League tie against Ajax tonight...just days after being slaughtered at St Mirren.
Collum was heavily criticised by both teams after Caley Thistle's 1-0 win in Paisley, where he booked eight players and sent off Ryan Christie.
ICT boss John Hughes said he was stunned at Collum's display and Saints ace Kenny McLean was outraged at not getting a penalty for a handball.
That was just a week after the overworked official flashed an astonishing 12 yellow cards at Romania's Euro 2016 clash against Hungary
But he's a rising star with European football's governing body and tonight's Barca v Ajax clash in the Nou Camp will be his third Champions League tie already this season, including qualifiers.
Fellow-Scots officials Graham Chambers, Stuart Stevenson, Bobby Madden, John Beaton and Irish assistant ref Damien MacGraith will also be in Catalonia tonight.
