GLASGOW CITY have made their second signing of the week in goalkeeper Megan Cunningham.

Just two days after snapping up the Republic of Ireland midfielder on a two-year extension, the Scottish champions have managed to lure highly-rated shot stopper Cunningham away from Hamilton Accies.

The 19-year-old comes with an impressive record having represented Scotland at all youth levels, most recently as the Scotland Under 19 keeper, where she made a total of 15 international appearances.

And City manager Eddie Wolecki-Black said: "I believe the influence of goalkeepers is vastly under rated and the work of goalkeeping coaches is vital.

"Throughout the season our goalkeeping coach Willie Spence has analysed every keeper in the league and we believe that Megan has the potential to play at the highest level.

"We have had great reports of her attitude towards training and playing and she comes with glowing praise from anyone who has worked with her.

"Having two quality goalkeepers at the club will ensure the competition for places is fierce as it should be at any ambitious club."

Cunningham added: "This brings new challenges and the opportunity to develop and train with new players and under new management.

"I have loved the past three years at Hamilton Accies and can't thank the coaches and the players I have played alongside with enough.

"I'm ready for the competitive and challenging environment that's lies ahead and can't wait to learn and be challenged by the players around me."
