VETERAN striker Didier Drogba cemented his place as a Chelsea legend last night when he scored from the spot in the 6-0 demolition of Maribor.

Drogba's last kick in a Chelsea shirt in his first spell at the club came with the winning penalty in the shootout when they won the 2012 final against Bayern Munich.

But Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted surprise when the 36-year-old Ivorian lined up the kick for the second goal.

He said: "I was not particularly pleased because I have my choices and Eden Hazard is the first-choice. But because it was a goal, I am happy."

Loic Remy opened the scoring for Chelsea, John Terry made it 3-0 before the break and Mitja Viler's own goal and a Hazard double after it completed the rout.
