GLASGOW CITY moved to the top of the SWPL after a 4-0 midweek win over Spartans - but face a tough test to stay there as they face a confident Celtic side tomorrow at K-Park in East Kilbride.

A 1-0 defeat in the first game of the season against Hibs remains the only hiccup in an otherwise perfect start to the campaign for the Hoops.

League wins over Hearts, Stirling University and Forfar, combined with a place in the League Cup semi-final, has put Celtic in as strong a position as they have been in recent seasons.

City have had to play catch-up due to Champions League commitments, but are now back on level terms and ready for the challenge.

Captain Leanne Ross said: "Celtic, like ourselves, have had a good start to the SWPL season, and we look forward to coming up against tough opponents high in confidence.

"Recently our performances have been very efficient, resulting in high-scoring games and comfortable victories. Tomorrow's game will be very competitive, so we will have to continue to play at a high tempo and retain good possession of the ball in order to achieve a victory."

Rangers travel to Inverness where Kevin Murphy's side will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Aberdeen.

Hamilton Accies will attempt to win their first game of the season when Spartans visit New Douglas Park.

Tomorrow's card: Inverness City v Rangers (12.30 Millburn Academy), Aberdeen v Hutchieson Vale (1.0 Sunnybank Juniors), Celtic v Glasgow City (2.0 K-Park, East Kilbride), Hibernian v Forfar Farmington (2.0 Albyn Park), Hamilton Academical v Spartans (4.0 New Douglas Park).
