THE Scottish Women's League Cup final will be beamed to a live audience for the first time ever this season.

The clash between Glasgow City and Hibernian will be broadcast live via the Scottish Women's Premier League Youtube channel on Wednesday, June 3, at 7.30pm.

The game is between the top two female sides in the country, with both teams currently joint top of the women's domestic league.

Viv McLaren, SWF board member and digital director said: "We are extremely excited at not only at the prospect of a hard-fought League Cup final between two of the best teams in Scotland, but also to stream this game live to the many fans across the UK and beyond for the first time.

"We know that fans want to find out as much as they can about teams, players and coaches in the build-up to this match - our pre-match interviews and coverage will also be accessible online and create a nice build up to the big game.

"All of this content will be available on the SWPL and SWF social channels."

The match will take place three days before the Fifa Women's World Cup begins, but unfortunately Scotland failed to qualify.
