SCOTLAND youth internationalist Jack Harper scored for Real Madrid in their opening Uefa Youth League match against Basel yesterday.
The 18-year-old midfielder sealed victory for the Spanish side with their second goal in a 2-0 home win over the Swiss.
Harper, who was born in Spain but his parents are from Barrhead, has six caps at Under-17 level and is set to step up to the Scottish Under-19 squad.
The senior Real Madrid team, meanwhile, cruised to a 5-1 win over Basel in the Champions League.
They took the lead through a Marek Suchy own goal before Welsh star Gareth Bale netted, then set up Cristiano Ronaldo for the third.
The rout was finished off by James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema.
