HIBERNIAN forward Martin Boyle has revealed that he is set to miss the end-of-season Play-Offs after suffering knee ligament damage.

The 22-year-old, on loan at Easter Road from Dundee, was injured after scoring in the Edinburgh club's 3-0 win at Falkirk on the final day of the season and stated on Twitter last night that his campaign is now over.

"Absolutely devastated to be missing the rest of the season," stated Boyle. "Scans show I've torn my medial ligament, terrible feeling!"

Alan Stubbs, the Hibernian manager, also has concerns over the fitness of defender Jordon Forster and forward Farid El Alagui ahead of his side's semi-final first leg against Rangers or Queen of the South on Wednesday, May 20.

Forster was taken off on a stretcher during the second half of the Falkirk victory after clashing with home defender Liam Dick while El Alagui, who recently returned to action after seven months out with Achilles tendon trouble, missed that game because of a knee injury.

"We are going through the necessary checks [with Forster]," said Stubbs. "We'll find out after he's had a scan, but it looks as if he may have strained his ligaments.

"Farid has an ongoing injury that we have to manage.

"It's nothing new or fresh.

"He has had a little bit of swelling, which we had to let settle down. He's been to see the specialist, he's doing okay and, hopefully, he will be involved in the Play-Offs."
