I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by just how well Alex Neil has done at Norwich.
He has taken the club into the Championship play-off final against Middlesbrough and he has done an outstanding job down there.
And that has firmly put paid to those who understandably said "Alex who", when he first arrived at Carrow Road.
I know a few people in that neck of the woods and they have all been very positive in what they have had to say about Neil.
From the very first day he was in the technical area, changing things, offering advice, pointing things out that he wanted to do and he really has been a revelation.
I did think that when he was offered the job that it was a massive step for him to take because he was going from a small club with a relatively small fanbase to a team where there are genuine demands for success and progress.
He has clearly com-manded immediate respect with the way he has gone about his business.
And I think all of us are delighted to see a young Scottish manager performing so well south of the border, and wish him the best of luck on Monday.
