C. HENDERSON (Linwood) - I went to a St Mirren v East Fife game around 1976, and it ended up 1-1. Both side's goals were own goals. Who were the unfortunate scorers?

This was a Division 1 match on September 4, 1976. The score was as you say.

On 30 minutes Saints full-back Mowat passed back to his keeper Hunter, who was unbalanced, and the ball trickled into the net.

Ten minutes later East Fife defender Clarke, under pressure, lobbed the ball back to his goalie McGarr, only for the ball to bounce over his head and into the net.
