GEORGIA have lost two important players to injury for Saturday's Euro 2016 crunch game in Scotland.

Temuri Ketsbaia's side face the Scots at Ibrox on Saturday knowing they need points after losing their opening game at home to Ireland.

But they have lost 20-times capped Aleksandre Kobakhidze - a key midfield playmaker who stars for Ukrainian outfit Volyn Lutsk and has already netted three times for his country.

Ketsbaia will also be missing highly-rated Skonto Riga defender Lasha Dvali. The 19-year-old youngster was set to win his first cap in Glasgow.

Instead, the former Soviet nation have called up experienced Odense hitman Vladimir Dvalishvili, who has five goals for his country after 34 caps.

And Cypriot-based midfielder Levan Khmaladze has also been added to the squad, with the Othellos Athienou player looking to win his 13th cap at Ibrox.

Scotland travel to Warsaw three days later and their hosts also have injury concerns.

Poland's Bundesliga-based defender Sebastian Boenisch is out after suffering a heel injury playing for Leverkusen.

Boss Adam Nawalka has yet to call up a replacement.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, who made his international debut at 33, hopes to remain part of the Germany squad which narrowly beat Gordon Strachan's side in the Group D opener, goalkeeping coach Andreas Koepke said.

Weidenfeller was long overlooked by head coach Joachim Low before outstanding seasons with his club, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles from 2011 and reaching the Champions League final in 2013, finally earned him a call-up last November.

"Euro 2016 would be a fitting finale at 36 for him," Koepke said. "He remains part of our plans, this is what has been discussed."

The 34-year-old has been established as No.2 behind Manuel Neuer, winning four caps in total as well as being part of the World Cup-winning squad in Brazil this year.

Hanover 96 keeper Ron- Robert Zieler is the designated No.3 but a string of talented keepers, including Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno and Schalke 04's Ralf Faehrmann are also vying for a spot on the squad.

"Roman has been an able replacement for Manuel and he also did a good job at the World Cup. He trained really well and kept the guys together in the background," said Koepke.

Weidenfeller's form has been one of the few bright spots in Dortmund's otherwise disappointing start to the season with last season's runners-up languishing in 13th place, 10 points adrift of league-leading Bayern Munich.
