STEWART Dickson has praised the impact of his captain Aaron Summers on Glasgow Tigers this season.

Summers signed on a full transfer during the winter from Redcar, and was immediately installed as skipper of the new-look side.

The 27-year-old Australian scored 15+1 in the Tigers' win at Ipswich on Thursday - to add to scores of 13+2 and 13 against Rye House and Berwick last weekend.

He's in the best form of the campaign so far and leads his side into an important Premier League tie with Peterborough at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium on Sunday.

Dickson said: "Aaron is great in the pits, as I've said many times, and he's going out and doing the business for us.

"In heat 15 of Thursday's match, he got passed by Danny King and then Aaron came back and passed him again, which is something, because King is quite a sight to behold round there.

"He's doing a fantastic job."

The Panthers are without the talented British teenager Robert Lambert for Sunday's meeting, while Glasgow continue to operate rider replacement for David Howe.

Dickson added: "We look forward to hopefully getting another home win and piling up the points - that's the plan."

Summers said: "It'll be a tough meeting but I'm sure the boys will be up for it. We've had a good week and we had a good match last Sunday."
