AARON Summers says Glasgow must rack up vital points on the road this weekend to keep their title challenge on course - and insists his side can still improve.

The Tigers No 1 is aiming for a repeat of last season's victories at Plymouth and Rye House as they head south tomorrow and Saturday.

With seven points splitting the Tigers and Somerset at the top of the table ahead of the Rebels' visit to Sheffield tonight, Summers knows it's essential that his side take something away from both matches.

Rider replacement will operate for Rene Bach - who's racing in Denmark - tomorrow but he's back for Rye House and Sunday's home meeting with Ipswich.

Summers said: "I don't see any problems for us around those two tracks.

"We have been a bit inconsistent away from home but there's definitely more to come from us and now is the crucial time for us to pick up some away points.

"We made the team change back in June and Rene has settled right in now. He is back to where he used to be - that's really helping us.

"And since Nike Lunna has comeback from injury he's been awesome - you wouldn't really think he's been off the bike, which is great.

"Coty Garcia also had a really good meeting on Sunday too and that's helped him a lot.

"We've had a couple of good away results recently. Everything is coming our way now - this is the time that you want to hit form."

Glasgow are still hunting for a guest at No 7 for the injured Danny Ayres ahead of tomorrow's meeting, but Edinburgh's Dan Bewley stands in on Saturday.

The Tigers can take a maximum of eight points from the two away matches, and a further three are up for grabs at home to Ipswich on Sunday.

The top six sides in the league go into the play-offs - but the two highest-placed will avoid having to race an extra fixture.
