Braehead Clan Hockey Operations Director Gareth Chalmers is delighted the club have qualified for the Champions Hockey League for the very first time.
Following Sunday's win over the Fife Flyers, the Clan confirmed their place in the 2015/16 competition alongside the newly-crowned EIHL champions, the Sheffield Steelers.
The Champions Hockey League will see the Clan come face to face with teams from Europe's top hockey countries including Austria, Finland, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland.
Chalmers believes this is a major step forward for the organisation that has only been in existence since the 2010/11 season.
"The club only came into existence five years ago, so to achieve second place in the EIHL, Gardiner Conference Champions and Champions League Hockey is a remarkable achievement.
"We're very much looking forward to competing in such a prestigious competition such as the CHL, which will give us the opportunity to welcome some of Europe's top hockey clubs to Glasgow.
"It's an exciting adventure for everyone connected with the club, more so the fans who have been the major reason we've gone from strength to strength over the past five seasons."
The draw for the CHL group stage will take place on May 13 in Prague.
