Greenock ace Chris Doak today celebrated his return to the European Tour after bagging his maiden title on the second-tier Challenge Tour.
The 34-year-old overcame a bogey on the last hole of regulation play to dump Dutchman Tim Sluiter at the third play-off hole of the Allianz Open de Lyon after both players had tied for first place on 13-under 271s.
Doak, who is now ninth on the rankings with the top 20 at the end of the season gaining promotion, said: "It's great to have a first win. I feel like it has been coming for a while and finally it is here."
