ATHLETICS:
Great Britain captain Eilidh Child helped the women's 4 x 400m relay team to bronze behind United States and Jamaica in Sopot as they were unable to defend the World Indoor Championships title they won in Istanbul in 2012.
The Scot - in a team with Shana Cox, Margaret Adeoye and Christine Ohuruogu - ran the lead leg and handed over to Cox in second place.
TENNIS: Andy Murray and Jonny Marray were beaten in the second round of the men's doubles at the BNP Paribas Open, losing out 7-6 (7/1), 6-3 to second seeds Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares. Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins defeated Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 5-7, 7-6 (7/4), 10-8 in the first round.
ICE HOCKEY: Braehead Clan booked a play-off spot with an 8-2 win over Nottingham on Saturday but a 3-1 defeat to Dundee last night confirmed the Stars as Gardiner Conference winners.
basketball: Glasgow Rocks lost 80-74 at Cheshire Phoenix in the first leg of their BBL Trophy semi-final.
