GABRIAL THE TERROR clearly enjoys the Tapeta track at Wolverhampton and he can make it a four-timer at his favourite venue in the 32Red Handicap.

The five-year-old struck just once in 12 starts for David Simcock last year, but he has been pretty prolific since joining Richard Fahey this term, winning three of his five outings - all at Dunstall Park.

His first couple of efforts in 2015 were nothing to write home about but stepped up to a mile and a half in February, Gabrial The Terror really began to shine as he repelled the challenge of Sheriff Of Nawton by a short head.

There was a slight suspicion that perhaps 12 furlongs was at the very edge of his stamina but he put those worries to bed with another win at that trip off a higher mark before Fahey decided to push on over two miles.

A patient ride paid dividends that day as he triumphed by just over a length off a career high mark of 75, looking as though he still has more to offer over staying trips.

A further 3lb rise will obviously make things a little tougher but Fahey has clearly found the key to this horse and he does not look to have finished improving yet.

Verismo is worth supporting as he takes a big step up in trip in the Best Odds Guaranteed At Coral Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

He was hardly disgraced in two starts at the back end of last season, finishing third over a mile at Newmarket on the latter occasion.

Ed Dunlop switches him up to a mile and a half here but given his stout pedigree, it looks a natural step for Verismo and he could develop into a nice handicapper in due course.

Rhapando can make a triumphant return from an extended break in the Southwell Back Jumping April 17th Interactive Novices' Handicap Chase at the Nottinghamshire venue.

The six-year-old was no great shakes over hurdles last term but he was in the process of running a promising race on his fencing bow at Doncaster last November before crashing out at the final obstacle.

That tumble clearly left no marks as Rhapando promptly made amends on his next start, showing plenty of resolve to win by a neck from Cloud Creeper, who has since gone on to score twice.

Paul Webber must have had high hopes at Newbury next time based on that effort, but Rhapando was beaten some way from home and eventually pulled up before the third-last.

Something was obviously amiss that day but Webber has given him plenty of time to recover and with nice spring ground on offer at Southwell, it would be no surprise if Rhapando can bounce back.

Nicky Henderson takes the wraps off £100,000 recruit Peggy Do in the Southwell Mares' Maiden "National Hunt" Hurdle.

The seven-year-old changed hands for that heady sum at Brightwells last May after winning a couple of point to point starts in Ireland in fine style.

Peggy Do certainly has ability judged on those performances and she is expected to make a successful bow under Rules.

Modulus is another eye-catching newcomer in the Nottinghamshire Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Trained by Robert Stephens and owned by John Deer, the six-year-old boasts an excellent pedigree as a relation to Hong Kong legend Bullish Luck and rates an interest as he begins his career.

Greensalt will surely be better over fences in time but he can pick up a prize over the smaller obstacles in the John Smith's Handicap Hurdle at Hexham.
