BASKETBALL:
Tommy Freeman bagged 24 points as Glasgow Rocks beat early league pacesetters Leicester Riders 80-71 at the Emirates Arena last night - a win that pushed Sterling Davis' men within reach of the top of the table.
With a re-match in next month's BBL Cup quarter-final, it was an important psychological blow for Davis and his men.
"Our offence is a lot more fluid now than it was three weeks ago," Freeman said. "It took some time for us all to gel and get on the same page. But we're feeling it's there now."
MOTOR-RACING: Paul di Resta showed glimpses of his old form as he completed a miserable season on a high note with fourth place in the final round of the DTM Championship at Hockenheim yesterday.
