KASPER LYKKE was the talk of the Ashfield terraces yet again as he led Glasgow Tigers to a big 52-41 win over play-off-chasing Workington Comets.

Lykke's stunning outside pass on Mason Campton in heat 14 capped a thrilling performance from the 20-year-old - who is proving to be one of the signings of the Premier League season.

The Dane's 11-point haul, joined by 14 points from Kevin Wolbert and 11 from Rusty Harrison, helped Glasgow gain all four league points and keep alive their slim hopes of making the league's top six by next weekend's play-off deadline.

Lykke raised the roof at Ashfield Stadium as he repeatedly fought from the back to pick off a number of Comets throughout his six races.

The only time it didn't work was in heat eight when, having gone round USA World Cup star Ricky Wells, he went too wide and clipped the fence.

Lykke admitted that signing for the Tigers was his best-ever move, adding: "I've got the speed at the moment. I'm still struggling with the gating, but I'm trying different things on the track, going wider and wider, trying to hunt the dirt down instead of going inside all the time."
