IT is fair to suggest the rise up the flat jockeys' standings of Graham Lee is little short of amazing.

Not too long ago the former Grand National-winning rider was going about his business at places like Hexham and Sedgefield in cold, dark, damp, winter afternoons.

Not any more. Lee is light enough to now aim his considerable talent at racing without obstacles, and a fine job he is making of it.

The hope is Lee will have a winner at Kempton tomorrow on Serenity Spa, who bids to get off the mark at the second attempt in the first division of the Maiden.

Roger Charlton's youngster ran well on her Ascot debut to grab second behind Diaminda.

The form looks sound enough with the winner having run with credit in Listed company since.

With normal improvement, Serenity Spa is going to take an awful lot of beating.

Elsewhere, trainer Nicky Henderson intends giving Sprinter Sacre his seasonal debut at Cheltenham next month before the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown in December.

Henderson reports the Arkle Trophy winner at this year's Cheltenham Festival on course for his reappearance.

He sdaid: "We are going to go to Cheltenham.

"There's a nice two-mile chase at the Paddy Power meeting which gives him three weeks before the Tingle Creek, where we will meet Sanctuaire.

"The programme just dictates that is what we have to do.

"It is a bit unfair on Finian's Rainbow, because he is the reigning two-mile chaser and he's hardly getting a look in at the moment.

"In fairness, that is because we are talking of upping him in trip, possibly that is because of Sprinter Sacre as well."
