RYAN FINNERTY promises there is more to come from his new-look Braehead Clan side.
Clan capped off a return to duty with an Aladdin Cup victory at the weekend over Italian side Asiago, despite not having a full complement to choose from.
And Finnerty admits while he was more impressed with their showing in Sunday's 5-2 second leg win over the defeat the 3-1 defeat the day before, there is still room for improvement.
The head coach said: "I thought we played a lot better on the Sunday than we did on the Saturday. Overall it was good.
"It was a good exercise with two good games, and it's what we need at this time of the year.
"We still have a long way to go in terms of systems. But we looked more energised on Sunday.
"We controlled and dominated the play and didn't allow much chances against a very good Asiago team."
Next up for Clan is a bounce game against Solway Sharks in Dumfries tomorrow night.
