DUNCAN Scott insists he has one final push left in him after qualifying for another Youth Olympic Games final.

It has been a busy few days in Nanjing, China, for the 17-year-old Scots swimmer, who already has a 4x100m freestyle relay gold medal.

But the Grangemouth ASC ace showed he still had plenty of energy left as he breezed through his 100m freestyle heat yesterday then returned to book his final spot by finishing third in his semi-final in 50.33secs.

Today's 100m freestyle final will be Scott's ninth and last individual swim of the Youth Olympics but he is determined to bow out with a bang.

"I felt good out there," he said. "I was trying to do exactly the same as I did when I led off the relay the other night.

"I was a little bit slower but I am just glad to be in the final.

"That was my main aim because anything can happen in the final.

"I'd like to think I have a bit more left in the tank. I'll need it because I'm not done yet.

"I have to concentrate on this now and try to end on a high."

Scott hopes he'll also get the chance to bag another medal in Team GB's 4x100m medley mixed relay squad.

"If I'm picked for that I'd have the heats, then the final, so another two more swims hopefully," Scott added. "It has been a long season and I am pretty tired now but I'll keep working hard right up until the end."
