GREAT BRITAIN captain Leon Smith will be keeping his fingers crossed for a home tie when the draw is made for the 2015 Davis Cup World Group today.
The Scot's first seven ties were all at home, with GB winning six of them before booking their place back in the World Group. They then stunned the USA in San Diego before losing to Italy in the quarter-finals.
Smith knows an away tie would almost certainly be staged on clay, Andy Murray's weakest surface.
A home tie would provide the opportunity to play at a large arena, with the choice of surface up to Smith. The first round will be held from March 6 to 8, 2015.
