Glasgow Rocks coach Sterling Davis claims his side must learn to turn the screw on their rivals if they want to hit their target of a top four finish in the BBL.

With a home clash with Sheffield Sharks tomorrow followed by a visit from Worcester Wolves on Sunday, the American concedes making the most of home advantage is essential with the regular season entering the closing straight.

But he believes Glasgow need to start shutting opponents down rather than giving them free reign to attack.

"We'll definitely have to depend on our defence," Davis said. "They're both powerful, offensive teams. We have to control that end of the floor, and capitalise off of it at the other end. They're crucial games for us right now, we need to get as many wins as possible."

With Sheffield level on points with the Rocks, avoiding a defeat that would give the Yorkshiremen a potential tie-breaker is preying on Davis' men.

"With them being so close, we definitely need to protect the head-to-head," he added.

"I think both teams have quite a bit on the line and will be up for the challenge at hand."
