STERLING DAVIS has high hopes for his great Scots now that he has completed his Glasgow Rocks line-up with the signing of two homegrown youngsters.

The big American has been busy all summer pulling together players he believes will be the right mix of youth and experience for his team to make a big impact on the league this season.

The final two pieces of the jigsaw were Scottish duo Fraser Glass and Dale Grieve, both aged 22.

Grieve will return for his third season in blue, while Glass, who played for the St Mirren hoops squad, will be making his debut at this level.

Davis said: "Dale has steadily improved since he came to the team.

"He has a very good understanding of the game and shows a very mature head when on the floor.

"I am excited about the prospect of seeing Dale's progression here over the coming season and I hope he will be an even bigger part of our equation."

Davis added: "Fraser comes from a basketball family, which we've seen come through the Rocks in one form or another.

"He is a hard-nosed player who will not back down and also believes in what he can do.

"This will be his first season with us but we hope that his experience of being around the game will prove to be useful."

Rocks kick off the new BBL season by hosting Bristol Flyers at Emirates Arena on September 28.
