INNES FERGUSON may be chasing individual glory in the Scottish Boys' Championship at West Kilbride but the Coatbridge teen was quick to praise his support network.
The Drumpellier ace booked a quarter-final spot on the Ayrshire coast with a two-hole win over Angus Lewis for a last eight tie today with Irvine's Stuart Easton.
Lanarkshire Boys' Strokeplay champ Ferguson, 17, said: "I've been working with Dean Robertson and my new coach, Alan McCloskey and I'm very fortunate to have such a good team."
Williamwood's George Burns eased through with a last-green win over Jack Rogan.
And Bearsden's British Boys' champion Ewen Ferguson stayed in the hunt with a 3 and 2 win over Bathgate's Scott McCandless ."I'm playing well, my ball-striking is good; everything is there," he said.
