KASPER Lykke reckons Glasgow have every right to keep dreaming of the Premier League play-offs after two big wins this weekend.
The Tigers head to the Newcastle Stadium tonight to try and repeat the form that saw them beat the Diamonds and fellow play-off hopefuls 46-43 at Ashfield yesterday
The Glasgow camp is further buoyed by the four league points it gained at Workington in a stunning win on Friday night. Lykke, 20, bagged eight points yesterday and said: "The track was awesome, it suited me so well. I started to use the outside a bit more than I used to.
"I'm just a bit annoyed that I was so close to getting a few more points. I've raced a few times at Newcastle and had one good meeting there last time, so we will see what happens.
"Of course we can aim for the play-offs. With the win today, and a good meeting tomorrow, we might make it. I haven't been looking too much at all the scores but from what I'm hearing, we have a chance, so of course we're going to go for it."
Derek Sneddon, the Edinburgh captain who scored six guesting for the Tigers yesterday, and lines up for them again tonight, agrees with Lykke.
He said: "It's certainly going to be an interesting meeting tonight. I try not to go thinking about being an ex-Newcastle rider. And to be fair, when I do go down there, it's like a home from home for me. I love going back there - the fans, the riders, the supporters - everybody down there is excellent.
"But going as an away rider, you've got to go and do your best. With a couple of injuries for them today, that might swing things in Glasgow's favour.
"Everybody saw the result Glasgow got at Workington and you can see they're coming onto a bit of form. Victor Palovaara at No.1 is still trying to find his feet, but if he does, it could be an interesting end to the season for Glasgow."
