GLASGOW Tigers co-promoter Colin Hamilton insists his side will soldier on in their final meetings of the speedway season, despite being depleted by injury.

The Ashfield side will face Workington and then Berwick on Sunday in a double-header to complete two previously weather-hit fixtures.

Rusty Harrison and Tero Aarnio are confirmed as missing both matches after season-ending injuries, while the Tigers will also have to fill in once again for long-term absentee Dimitri Berge.

But Hamilton said: "We'll just have to soldier on and we'll have a look to see who's available, and who's going to be there on the day."

The Glasgow chief believes the club have faced one of their worst-ever seasons in terms of the weather, with more than a handful of postponements caused by the rain throughout 2014.

It's a topic he feels will be discussed by the sport's promoters during the winter - as well as the fixture congestion it can cause.

Hamilton said: "We've had eight or nine postponements or abandonments this year.

"I think it's probably one of the worst that Glasgow have had for many, many years as regards having to call matches off.

"At the annual BSPA conference in December, there will be things like this discussed.

"They can take note of some of the experiences of the clubs during the season to see if they can make things easier.

"It might be that during the season we have to look at some more midweek fixtures when the time allows.

"But you can't get away from the Great British weather."

The match against the Comets starts at 1pm and will be followed as soon as possible - anticipated to be around 2.30pm - by the Bandits fixture.
