Kilmarnock have moved to strengthen their defence by signing the experienced Karleigh Osborne.
The club confirmed the 28-year-old central defender had arrived from Plymouth on a two-year contract.
Osborne could make his debut in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round tie against Hamilton at Rugby Park.
He has only made two substitute appearances since signing for Argyle in the summer, after a pre-season thigh injury curtailed his progress.
But Killie were short of centre-backs before the winter break and both Will Boyle and Jonathan Burn have since ended loan spells. Scott Boyd and Miles Addison are fighting to overcome injury ahead of the visit of Accies.
Osborne began his career at Brentford, where he made 185 appearances, and later played for Millwall and Bristol City. He has also had loan spells at the likes of Oxford, Colchester and Wimbledon.
