The Scottish Football Association disciplinary department faces a busy week after Rangers, Hearts and Motherwell all launched appeals against red cards.

And there could be further cases if compliance officer Tony McGlennan instigates action following Saturday's controversial meeting between Rangers and Hibernian.

Rangers have lodged their intention to appeal against Ryan Jack's red card following his clash with Anthony Stokes, although a camera angle featured on BBC's Sportscene programme appeared to show the midfielder moving his head towards the Hibernian forward.

Stokes could also find himself in trouble after appearing to grab Jack by the throat seconds beforehand, while Hibs head coach Neil Lennon has come under scrutiny over his goal celebrations following Simon Murray's strike in the visitors' 3-2 win at Ibrox.

Hearts have begun their appeal against Isma Goncalves' red card after he moved his arm back while Kilmarnock defender Kirk Broadfoot pulled his hair.

And Motherwell submitted paperwork in relation to red cards against goalkeeper Trevor Carson and defender Charles Dunne during their 4-1 defeat by St Johnstone.

Dunne was already the subject of an unfair dismissal claim following his red card against Ross County last week in the Betfred Cup.

There is a 3pm deadline on Tuesday for clubs to complete the paperwork and for McGlennan to instigate fast-track disciplinary proceedings, with hearings set to take place on Thursday.
