Parkhead club's near £7M drop in profits

CELTIC today announced a significant fall in pre-tax profits for the second half of 2011.

The Parkhead club posted a profit of just £180,000 for the six months to December 2011, a huge drop on the £7.06m announced at the end of the previous year.

Most of this drop was due to lower player sales, with just £3.1m being brought into the club through players leaving the Hoops, compared to £13.2m from the previous accounts.
