The Jags return to Premiership duty full of confidence after taking eight points from their first five top-flight fixtures this season and are aiming to record their maiden Firhill league triumph of the new campaign.
Dons boss Derek McInnes almost signed Taylor-Sinclair from Montrose while he was in charge of St Johnstone two years ago.
It is at Thistle where the left-back has realised his top-flight dreams, however, and he is eager to impress on the big stage once again this weekend.
Taylor-Sinclair said: "It could have been Derek that gave me my chance.
"But it wasn't to be and things happen for a reason.
"Jackie (McNamara) gave me my chance here. I worked hard and went the long way round but it has worked out well for me.
"I saw Derek at the PFA awards and he said well done for getting in the Team of the Year and doing well here.
"He has got a good, solid team at Aberdeen, they have started the season well and they have got a lot of good players so we are expecting a tough game when they come here on Saturday."
Many observers have tipped McInnes to lead Aberdeen to second place in the Premiership this season, with the Dons making a decent start to their first full campaign under the new boss.
But Taylor-Sinclair is determined to claim three points and friendly bragging rights.
He said: "It is always good to get a win before the international break. Everyone then goes away and has a rest and comes back in good spirits.
"We won the majority of our games at Firhill last season so hopefully we can get our first league win here on Saturday.
"I am really enjoying playing in the Premiership.
"I thought there would be a massive difference but we have brought the confidence from last season into the games this year.
"We have got nothing to fear, we are taking each game as it comes and playing well.
"It will be a big test for us against Aberdeen. I have got a few friends that play for them so I will be texting them ahead of the game.
"I was with Ryan Jack during the week and he is looking forward to the game.
"It will be good to catch up with him again and hopefully it is us that come out on top.
"He is one of my close friends so it will be good to play against him this weekend."
