The midfielder enjoyed an impressive campaign as Partick Thistle kept their Premiership place last term.

Boss Alan Archibald has added Ryan Stevenson to his squad so far this summer and, as revealed in SportTimes last week, the Jags are set to move into a new training base at Garscube.

Bannigan said: "The manager has the nucleus of the squad but you want to bring in a few players. I would imagine there will be three or more signings coming in.

"The manager will be looking to tinker with the squad a little bit from what it was last season.

"The club has come a massive way since I came in. The youth system wasn't great and we were jumping about to different training grounds every day.

"But now we have a youth system in place and if we can get a training base then that will be it all coming together.

"It can be disruptive but, to be honest, it doesn't bother the players at the time.

"If you have a training base then you can stay behind and do extra training.

"If you have somewhere booked then you might have to come off at a specific time.

"It is definitely a benefit if you have a training base."

Meanwhile, Jags goalkeeper Ryan Scully has rejoined Dunfermline on a season-long loan deal.

The youngster spent last term in League One with Jim Jefferies' side and, having agreed a new two-year deal at Firhill, he has now returned to Fife once again.

Defender Liam Lindsay has put pen to paper on a two-year extension to his Jags deal, while fellow youngsters Lee Gallacher and Dale Keenan have signed one-year contracts with the club.
