Anyone in football will tell you that harmony in the squad is crucial to success on the field.
We are lucky at Thistle, all the boys get on and they are all good friends and I think that shows when they step over the white line.
It makes my job and manager Alan Archibald's a lot easier when you have players willing to fight for each other.
When I first came to the club, I said to Alan the dressing room reminded me of the time when we were players here under John Lambie.
It was similar how the boys got on and have their nights out together.
I can't think of any bad dressing rooms I have been in. I have been in squads where players had wee spats and things like that but usually these things are resolved within days.
It only takes one person to disrupt things but we haven't got that here.
I could run through every player in the squad, they all bring something to the group and contribute to the banter.
Plus, we have kit men Ricky and Chico. They are just as bad as the players. Some of the stuff they do is unbelievable.
It is all part of what makes the club so good a place to be and so successful recently.
After getting another good point at St Johnstone last weekend, we gave the boys Monday off and they will be off again tomorrow as we build up to the Hibs game on Monday night.
They are usually good at Firhill so we are looking forward to playing them.
Alan and I have seen Hibs play a couple of times and, last weekend's defeat at Inverness aside, they have been going well.
It just shows how things can change in football. One minute it is all doom and gloom - then they went on a wee run and eased the pressure a bit.
It is one of the sad and unfortunate things about the game that managers find themselves under so much pressure after just a couple of games.
There is no respite. Pat Fenlon is in a big job at Hibernian and I am sure he will get things right at Easter Road.
After a disappointing start to the season, they were on a good run before a really tricky game up at Caley last weekend.
I am sure they will come to Firhill full of confidence and I think it will be another good game. They are a good team on their day and they have got a strong squad so we know that we will have to be at our best if we are to get our first Firhill league win of the season.
