John will put his stamp on Inverness

IT looked like it was going to be Paul Hartley that was going to get the manager's job at Inverness Caley Thistle.

He seemed to be the name that was being widely touted, but John Hughes is the man the board have chosen to replace Terry.

He is taking over a team that is in a good position in the league and a squad that has some really good players in it. We won up there earlier in the season and that is not something too many teams will do this year.

It is a good opportunity for John to get back in the game. He is taking over when they are in a good position in the league and I am sure he will be hoping to keep them in the top half of the table for the rest of the season.

There is a bit of pressure there to maintain the form that Caley Thistle showed under Terry.

John has got his own ideas on the game and own ways of working and I am sure you will see him putting his stamp on the side over the next few games as he looks to pick up where Terry left off.
