WE have benefited an awful lot from the signing of Paul Gallacher.
Obviously we have an outstanding young keeper in Scott Fox and a measure of his progress this season was his call-up to the full Scotland squad before Christmas.
But when it comes to goalkeepers it is vital you have quality back-up. In our case, with Paul, we not only managed to get an excellent keeper but one with experience at the highest level who has also done a great job as our goalkeeping coach.
Even though Paul had spent a lot of time on the bench understudying Foxy, he continued to train and contribute to the squad in a totally professional manner as well as playing a key role in Scott's development.
When Scott suffered a heel injury, Gal came in and has been fantastic for us. But, while Paul has been very consistent, he knows he must maintain his standards because Scott is desperate to get back playing.
That is the perfect situation and we are just so lucky that we have two outstanding keepers who are also great pros who do everything they can to support their team-mate.
